[Summer Davos] “Part of the 40 member Global Shapers Community delegation at the World Economic Foru

During the past week, I had the incredible honor to attend The World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions (Summer Davos) in Dalian, China. It is the foremost Global Summit on innovation and entrepreneurship with more than 1,500 participants, 130 working sessions and community activities, along with the opportunity to engage in several new Forum initiatives.

Being part of the 40 member Global Shapers Community delegation as part of East Jerusalem HUB was a life changing experience. We represented billions of young people and hundreds of Hubs Globally. Among the participants attending the world’s leading conference on innovation could be found: 1,500 World Leaders, Business Leaders, scientists, social entrepreneurs and policy makers.

I attended the conference with a well-prepared agenda based on innovation and entrepreneurship vision, Which aimed to improve the Economic and Start-Up Ecosystem, Education, Green Energy, Agri-Tech and Employment. As one of the youngest participant at the Forum, I had a challenging task - to represent the voice and Leadership potential of youth in the Biggest Forum in the World, and we rose that challenge. During the 2-days sessions, I had a chance to:

  • Attend sessions in different topics such as: “Can AI be Trusted?” “China Economic Outlook,” “Fin-tech Technology”, “Green Energy,” “Smart City,” “Deep Learning,” “Global Trade,” “Resources Consumption.” These sessions have been delivered by well-known charachters as: Klaus Schwab , Li Keqiang , Suphachai Chearavanont, Flemming Besenbacher, Alain Dehaze, Jessica Tan and many others.

And at the same time to hear from him his vision about that. At the same time we had the chance to meet many important charachters such that: Nenad Paunovic (IT Advisor of the Prime Minister of Serbia) where we discussed the innovation in the education's system in Serbia and how they build their Echo-system and how to start an effective relationship for enhancing the current infrastructure and Education system.

As They said: “If you're selected by WEF to attend an Annual Meeting, you deserve to be there.” At the end, I want to thank all the inspiration and uplifting humans I have met among Scientists, Social Entrepreneurs, Policymakers and World Leaders.

In the words of Barack Obama, “We’re part of a long-running story. We just try to get our paragraph right.”
